What is clown comedy?
Clown is silly, physical comedy built on a deep connection to the audience. It is one of the oldest forms of comedy, and learning it makes you a braver, more playful performer (and human). No experience needed, and failing is the fun part.

Clown 1: Introduction to Clown Comedy
6 to 8 week course, beginners
Our beginners course. Learn to be stupid and hilarious on stage: game, audience sensitivity, the flop, complicity, props and play.

8 week course, some experience
Go deeper. Build characters, work with props and costume, devise scenes and get ready to take your clown to the stage.

Create original material through writing, improvisation and solo work. Smaller group, more feedback. Build a piece you can perform.

Not ready for a full course? Most of our one-off clown workshops are single sessions pulled from Clown 1 and packaged for anyone to drop into. Perfect for festivals, socials and first-timers. We can also run any of these privately for your group.
